![]() ![]() Of course, if you crack on through the pain barrier you might one day become one of the indestructible maniacs that kept Starfront: Collision's multiplayer from being any fun when you first set out, so don't give up too soon. Some may enjoy the steep learning curve, but for others it'll take the fun out of the game. The rest just stood idly by.Īnd if you want to play multiplayer, prepare to have your enthusiasm crushed by players much harder, better, faster, and stronger than you. At one point we told all units to traverse a dangerous canyon, at which point only the two most vulnerable and important units moved, and were subsequently killed. Occasionally the AI will refuse do what you tell it to. There are few other dings in this otherwise shiny teapot, too. The storyline of StarCraft wasn't particularly original in the first place, so why should we expect Gameloft’s knock-off to be any better? For instance, if you’re working on your base and your troops come under fire in another area, there's a dedicated on-screen button to zoom straight to that area. ![]() The screen is also littered with plenty of useful icons (don’t worry - you can hide a lot of these). It’s standard RTS fare – again, no surprises – but it retains all the compulsiveness usually associated with the genre. Limited resources are farmed from meteorite craters and energy podiums, with drone worker bots used to expand, increase efficiency, and build new factories, structures, and turrets. It may not be quite as good as current-gen titles – with their expansive, blossoming tech-trees – but it's very well put together nonetheless. The base-building mechanics are as good as any old skool RTS you’d find on the PC. The controls aren’t the only surprisingly well-engineered thing about Starfront. But this is actually more a credit to the surprisingly good touch controls than it is a flaw in the Play’s buttons. These controls, while helpful, just don’t seem as fluid, and you usually end up going back to using the touchscreen all the time. The X button returns your camera to your HQ and the touchpads are used to pan the camera and zoom in and out. The L and R shoulder buttons select and de-select all units on screen respectively, which is incredibly useful when you can’t afford to obscure the view of a firefight with your own greasy mitts. The Play’s physical controls have also been introduced in this version, providing a few useful shortcuts. It’s intuitive and simple, and most of the time it works fine. You can select single units by tapping on them or select a group of units by dragging a box around them with two fingers. This hasn’t changed in the Xperia Play version. If there was one thing to be said for the Android and iPhone editions, it’s that they made very good use of the touchscreen when implementing the strategy controls. Luckily, Starfront: Collision does exactly this. Then again, if you’ve been anywhere near Pocket Gamer in the past you’ll know that we tend to turn a blind eye to Gameloft's copycat ways, so long as the game plays solidly. It isn’t so much a gentle nod toward StarCraft II as a giant headbutt. ![]() You can play with Starfront players around the world but must connect to the internet, for Bluetooth Mode, you have to turn the Apple device's bluetooth and connect with another nearby player in order to play Bluetooth Mode.If you’ve been anywhere near an RTS in the past year, you’ll immediately recognise the influences behind Gameloft’s Starfront: Collision. In Multi player and Bluetooth Mode, you have to connect to a nearby Wifi source in order to play these modes. You can use this mode to train yourself for Campaign Mode or Multiplayer, especially Multiplayer because the players are extreme profesionels. Unlike multiplayer mode, you can select any race and any colour for the other player. In Skirmish Mode, you can play alone with the AI. In the begining, you can only play the Consortium Campaign, you can unlock the Myriad Campaign by completing "The Final Step" in the Consortium Campaign. In Campaign Mode, the player has to complete several campaigns like the Myriad Campaign. The game includes Campaign, Skirmish, Multiplayer and Bluetooth Modes. Its a game similar to WoW, but its cloned from StarCraft. Starfront: Collision is an RTS for the Iphone and the Ipod touch. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ayumi sometimes has detailed build advice and image of gear and masteries, like with lady kimi's page. Both sites have general builds that lack a lot of context. A build for clan boss unkillable vs block dmg, for instance, will have bonus dmg at full hp or below 50% hp depending on the type of team you put together. There's context for builds and what you want done and what is expected of the player gearwise. However, you probably want him built for dungeons, too, so you might just want a general build with warmaster. The best mastery build is hell hades campaign farmer one. That said unless you get a frozen banshee, or better poisoner it's not a bad idea to run both Outlaw+Kael just for that extra damage, but the lack of survivability typically means that you don't want to waste the resources taking outlaw all the way to rank 6. While that seems fairly minimal everything is build off %, so having 20% more base defense is a huge boost and makes surviving far easier than you'd expect. Outlaw monk has 12,225 HP and 694 defense at lvl 60, Kael has 13,710 HP and 914 defense. That alone is not a huge difference, however the second part of the calculation is how long they last. That's equal to 3.5 poisons every 4 turns, or. ![]() Kael on the other hand puts out 2 strong poisons +3 weak poisons. With that in mind lets say that's equal to 2.4 poisons every 3 turns, or. Outlaw monk has a 2 strong poisons every 3 turns with an extra 20% chance of taking an extra turn. and chest 1 normal is the same as chest 3 easy Now you specifically, I would honestly say if you can get 1 key a chest, just do that and go higher, don't care about quality of the chest, at this point you are doing it more for gear pulls than for the side benefits, the gear drops on these things will likely be a higher quality more constant than you can farm at the moment. My clan doesnt down hard on a daily basis, much less brutal, but for me the guardian chest just seems to have so much better odds that even just getting 1 of them from each tier is worth it. I think I also had an ancient shard from one. technically all of them are capable of dropping an ancient shard, I don't think I got more than one, knight starts to drop void shards, I don't think I have gotten one, and knight starts gems, guardian seems to have gems pull more often. The chest where you see a difference in loot quality, at least for me, was guardian. Normal has 1) adept 2) adept 3) warrior 4) knight The chests are all the same no matter the difficulty, well the same pool of chestsĮasy has 1) novice 2) novice 3) adept 4) warrior you would likely re stat kael's masteries once you have gear or great hall to make up for deficiencies, or if you assume he is going to live while the rest of the team dies rather the the whole team makes it to the end, as there are a few options that add stats based on how many dead party memebers you have, or how many kills they got. Clan boss will give you essentially 2 pulls a day per tier you can get a chest for, I dont think you really start to see its value till you get the top hard chest, up till then, you get solid gear pieces and an extra, for me at around 75 days in game, I got 5 gems maybe twice below top hard, and the weak and a half I have been doing hard and trying for the same chest on brutal, I have gotten about 50 gems.īut yea, clan boss is the first thing you can realistically push for getting further, dragon would be second, spider a necessitated third.Īlso, note in their guides what they are getting stats for. ![]() ![]() ![]() Each story had a beginning, middle, and end and he managed to tie things together in a fashion we appreciated.
